Home-Start Rossendale, Burnley and Hyndburn is a voluntary organisation offering friendship and support to local families with a child up to the age of 13. This unique service is provided by volunteers, who have been parents themselves, who give regular support, friendship and practical help to families who are struggling whilst raising their own families.

Work For Us
We are seeking to recruit two new people to support our growing service to local families:
- Part-time Plus Coordinator – 18.5 hours per week on our Plus Project which is aimed at supporting families of children aged 5 to 13 years. The position is funded until December 2020 and is based in our Rossendale office covering the Hyndburn and Rossendale areas.
- Part-Time Co-ordinator – 18.5 hours per week on our Needs First Project which is aimed at supporting families of children up to the age of 5 years. The position is funded until December 2020 and is based in our Rossendale office covering the Hyndburn area.
Our Coordinators build strong relationships with our families, working with them to identify their needs, match them to a trained volunteer and regularly review progress. They provide support, supervision and ongoing training to existing volunteers and recruit and train new volunteers.
It is essential that candidates have an understanding of the needs of families with children and knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to children and families. You must have relevant previous experience in a similar role, be a parent or have parenting experience and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of families and volunteers.
All candidates should understand and be committed to the role of the voluntary sector and be able to work on own initiative in a challenging environment.
